The one thing my cleaning kit never included until recently, is a box of disposable gloves. From cleaning cloths, toothbrushes and even a squeegee, I have them all conveniently packed and ready for my next cleaning spree.
However, I never thought about incorporating disposable gloves into my cleaning kit; not because I think they are a waste of money, but because they simply interfere with my sense of touch. Well, that was before I ripped 3 pairs of sheer tights right before going out with my husband because my hands were so rough from all those chemicals and water exposure. So, to avoid having these problems in future, I decided to give gloves a try. A box of disposable gloves is now an essential part of my cleaning supplies box. Once I started using them, I figured why they are such a needed item while cleaning.
Protect Your Skin
Hot water and harsh chemicals are your skin’s worst enemy. Since we use our hands to do basically everything around the house, they are our workhorses for house cleaning chores. Therefore, using disposable gloves to protect your hands from exposure to various chemicals and different water temperatures that can dry out and irritate your skin, is a must.
Protect your nails
Dear women, I understand how precious your beautifully manicured nails are to you and the fact that you barely found the time to have them done is just not something that you would take for granted and ruin them while scrubbing the floors. But being the good housewife you are, you cannot simply look at all that mess in your home and all that accumulated dirt on the floors and do nothing. But it’s easy to go from classy to messy with few small chips, and washing dishes or scrubbing the floors without wearing gloves is surely a way to ruin a perfect manicure. So, to prevent this from happening, always wear gloves while doing your household chores.
Avoid gross stuff
Although my grandma used to say that a good housekeeper should never be repulsed or shocked by any cleaning job, there are some household jobs that are just too yucky, and gross to do. And if you are disgusted just by the mere thought of it, imagine how hard would it be for you to have to deal with it. A pair of disposable gloves will definitely make this problem less daunting.
Dyeing
Disposable gloves are a great way to prevent irritation and staining your hands when coloring or highlighting your hair. Plus, they are perfect for small painting projects in the home. Just make sure to take the gloves off inside out to ensure the dye or paint stays on the gloves and not on your skin.
